pimping new land comm

So I don't normally pimp things unless I really believe in them, and think they are truely awesome, and this is one of those times.

I know I have a lot of femslash fans on my flist, so go and have a look at this:

femslash_land femslash_land femslash_land

For those who are members of landcomms already and are sick of having to write het/ambiguous fic in order to win challenges, we need no longer conform! (lol)

And for those of you who aren't on any landcomms, this is a team challenge community where individuals compete in graphics and fic challenges, as well as do fun games and puzzles, to earn points for their team. It's a great place to meet new people, as well as participate in things you wouldn't normally do (I hated graphics, but have learnt I'm not half bad at them)

This landcomm is for all femslash tv and movie pairings, so come along, apply and join in the fun!

so go and apply here

Brighton - places featured in Sugar Rush

I'm thinking of going to Brighton next week for a day out (part-time worker, yay!) and although there are places that are obvious and easy to find, I wouldn't mind seeing some of the smaller areas featured in Sugar Rush, like the little slope where Lost Vegas is. Is anyone here from Brighton, or is familiar with the place? Is there anything I should desperately see? Where do the cute girls hang out?

I'll take pictures if I do go!

Olivia on TV tonight

The actress who portrayed Kim in Sugar Rush, Olivia Hallinan, is going to be starring in a BBC1 period drama this evening: Lark Rise to Candleford. I don't know how many here love PDs like I do (I'm such a geek) but it's on at about 7:30, before Sense and Sensibility. Give Olivia your support by tuning in!

Could TV Sugar Rush Return?

Probably not.

But it does sound rather like Channel 4 are making the right noises even if they are not mentioning Sugar Rush.

This article in the Guardian says that having dropped Celebrity Big Brother they now have budget to reinvest in drama and comedy which is the direction they intend to head in during the 2008 season.

If you read it it's almost screaming out for them to bring Sugar Rush back as it seems to fit exactly what they are looking for? Perhaps now would be timely to drop Ch4 some more letters 'reminding' them about the award winning show they canceled last year in order to be able to pay for Celebrity Big Brother?
